In October 2008, all major credit card issuers, including VISA, MasterCard, American Express, etc., jointly developed the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) which outlines best practices for credit card data that is stored, processed, and/or transmitted. Alpha Technology Solutions commends the joint decision as this supersedes the requirements that were previously developed by VISA Cardholder Information Security Program (CISP) and MasterCard Site Data Protection (SDP).

Although well versed in both CISP and SDP, Alpha Technology Solutions currently provides services in all four levels of PCI compliance. By mid November 2008, all our credit card honoring clients were migrated to full PCI compliance.
